Stevie Hargreaves has done his bit by Running for Rehab to help others in desperate need.
Stevie quotes “In January I got my mum back, next January I am hoping another family will be able to say the same”. Helping to give a mother another chance of redemption, Stevie set out to raise money to give another struggling family the lifeline that they need.
Stevie has raised a total of £3,350, with every penny of that donated to addiction treatment centre Salus Withnell Hall (the same place which helped his mum). Reaching this target has meant that he is able to fund 4 weeks of rehabilitation and detox to another person who needs help too.

Since the marathon, the bursary client has been admitted and completed the full 28 nights of treatment and left a few weeks ago. Using their many skills they learnt at Salus Withnell Hall they came up with the following poem for you and your family.
From different parts of the country to end up in a rehab named Salus,
A unique bunch of people you’ll meet, all here to fix the problem, But be patient, no rush,
Some are here for alcohol, and some are here for drug addiction,
Time to wake up with a reality check, this isn’t fiction
In here some will struggle more than others,
But we all unite as one, are sisters and brothers,
The experience starts out incredibly hard as you struggle to find the inner lift,
But I will forever hold in my heart this beautiful gift
It’s a beautiful gift because its changed my life in so many ways,
For starters me being completely honest is how ill spend my days,
This gift has given me Salus, the addiction saviours,
Made me work so incredibly hard to change so many behaviours
With a tool box in hand and ready for my new journey,
Always remembering acceptance and that my past can no longer hurt me,
To the family that blessed me I don’t know how I can ever repay you,
I have a beautiful family of my own and whom I will stay true too.
